Michael Lanz

lanz.design.consultingGraz, Austria

Michael Lanz is a product designer and design strategist at lanz.design.consulting and a partner at Vagabond Moto. He started his career in the design department of Siemens AG. Until 2018, Michael was one of the owners/managing directors of designaffairs, later part of Accenture. At the same time, Michael was a lecturer at TU Dresden and head of the Institute for Product & Transportation Design at FH JOANNEUM in Graz. From 2019 to 2024 he was a member of the Advisory Board for Creative Industries of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy.  Since 2024, Michael is also member of the Sustainability Working Group at the iF DESIGN AWARD. “I’m proud and honored to work alongside a talented team of experts on one of today’s most critical missions: advancing sustainability within our industry.”
